THIS PAGE IS DESIGNED TO HELP YOU THROUGH THE PROCESS OF DESIGNING YOUR OWN, CUSTOMIZED, NOTIFEX SYSTEM.

You can configure your own NOTIFEX System by following the steps below. When you have completed each step, use the "Build-Outs" button in the "Store" section to return to this page for the next steps in the process.

The NOTIFEX System is entirely modular, giving you complete flexibility in your system design.

 DESIGN YOUR CUSTOM NOTIFEX SYSTEM

1)  Decide whether you want your sensor(s) to have wireless capability.

All sensors are able to be either:

> connected directly to the TCU with a cable that plugs into the rear of the TCU. ("Direct Wired" sensors)

or

> wireless - sending to the TCU via a wireless module.

When you choose your sensor(s) (below), you will be asked whether you want a direct-wired sensor or a wireless sensor. The wireless sensor choice includes the sensor and a wireless module. You can also buy wireless modules separately.

(Note: If you want the wireless pushbutton sensor, it is the only sensor that does not use the module to be made wireless. The wireless pushbutton sensor has its own built-in capability to communicte with the TCU wirelessly. All other sensors are made 'wireless' by using a wireless module .)

2) Pick your sensor(s).

There is a wide array of sensors for a variety of situations.

When you shop for sensors, you will be asked to choose between direct-wired sensors or wireless sensors.  See (1 ) above.

• The direct wired choice for sensors gives you the security of a wired connection, and is more economical.
• The wireless choice gives you the convenience of your sensors being mobile.

When you choose the "WIRELESS OPTION " when you buy a sensor, you are purchasing a sensor and a wireless module (see note above regarding the pushbutton sensor.) Because the NOTIFEX system is modular, you can use your wireless module interchangably with any sensor. Thus you can buy a sensor without the wireless module (specify "WIRED" sensor when you buy) and use it with a wireless module bought separately (see below) or bought with any other sensor you choose where you specified the "WIRELESS OPTION".

You can get as many wireless modules as you want. Since sensors interchangeably plug into a wireless module, one will serve several sensors. However, additional modules give you greater freedom so you don't have to "swap-out" your wireless module and sensors.

3) Order your TCU

• If you have chosen to have your sensors have wireless capability (i.e. either the wireless pushbutton sensor and/or another sensor with the wireless option), then order the wireless sensorsTCU.
• If you don't need wireless sensors, and are using direct-wired  sensor-to-TCU connection, then order the direct-wired sensors TCU.

Remember: any sensor can plug into the rear of the TCU with a direct wired cable, regardless of whether you have a direct wired sensors TCU or a wireless sensors capable TCU. But if you want wireless cabability for any sensor, you must buy the wireless sensors TCU.

4) Decide whether you want additional pagers.

You will, of course, need at least one pager, which comes with whichever TCU you ordered. Having more than one pager can give you additional flexibility and back-up. When you buy additional pagers ,they are encoded at the NOTIFEX factory to your TCU.

5) Decide which accessories you want.

If you chose  direct wired sensors, you may want to buy additional cable  and couplers. Sensors come with about ten feet of cable; if you want to place the TCU further away from the sensor than that, then buy additional cable. cable lengths are 10 feet and 20 feet. You will need a coupler at each join. (Note: you can direct-wire sensors to your TCU whether you have a wireless capable TCU or a direct-wired only TCU .)
