Using the Notifex system requires no technical ability or understanding. It's as easy to use as an old fashioned telephone, even though it employs state-of-the-art, ultra-reliable, modern engineering.

Notifex gives you a totally reliable signal on your own private pager when the system senses a predetermined change. For example: someone walks through a doorway - you get a page. You can use the sensor(s) you need to detect the change you want to monitor.EXAMPLES:

Sensors send a page when

• There is movement in the room (motion detector)
• Someone gets up from a chair (chair pad)
• Someone gets out of bed (bed pad)
• A pushbutton is pressed (pushbutton)
• A door opens (door sensor)
• Someone steps in a certain place (like next to a bed when getting out of bed or like on a welcome mat at a door or threshold) (floor pad)

How the Notifex System works:

When a sensor finds a change (like a door opening or someone moving) it signals the Transmitter Control Unit (or TCU) . The TCU then sends a powerful radio signal, using a special code, to a small pager which is carried by the user and is matched to that TCU.

The TCU is the “brains” of the Notifex System. It is about 6” x 7” x 2”, and can be placed anywhere that is convenient. The TCU runs on household power. On the front of the TCU is an indicator light to tell you the system has power and is ‘ready’ and another telling you when it is sending to its pager. There is also a small antenna. On the rear of the TCU are jacks to attach sensors, and the power connection to house power.

Sensors can signal the TCU two ways:

• using a wire (much like the wire that connects a telephone to a wall jack) which plugs into the rear of the TCU
• wireless, using a WIRELESS LINK MODULE, which sends to the TCU without a wired connection.

The NOTIFEX system is entirely modular, so any sensor can use the wireless link module. (The wireless pushbutton sensor has its own built-in wireless link.) This gives the user complete flexibility to have any sensor move to any location. Any sensor can be direct-wired, or wireless. The wireless link module communicates with the TCU using an encoded signal, thus increasing reliability.

The NOTIFEX System has been approved by the FCC. The TCU-to-Pager communication uses a unique address, eliminating false alarms. NOTIFEX operates at the greatest power permitted, ensuring a strong, reliable signal. The system comes ready-to-use - there's no programming or complicated set-up required.
