How It Works
Pressure sensitive pad – signals when pressure is lifted
When to Use
When you want to know if someone gets up from a chair they are sitting in. Any chair (sofa, wheelchair, outdoor lawn chair, etc.) is fine for this sensor.
The Chair Pad signals the NOTIFEX SYSTEM to send a page. (Sensors like the Chair Pad do not work independently - they are input to the Notifex System.)
Installation
Place on seat of chair. If the chair has a heavy cushion, place on top of cushion (or the weight of the cushion may make the sensor not be able to tell that someone has gotten up.) Best with a light pad over it. Best to run the wire out the back of the chair if possible, to avoid tangling. If a stuffed armchair or sofa, run wire down rear of cushion and then to front/side. Pad is 9" x 16".
Notes
If you want an extra level of sensitivity, the pad can be placed at the back of the chair. This will then alert when the person in the chair leans forward.
Cleans easily with ordinary household cleaners. Waterproof.

What is the difference between a "wired" and "wireless" sensor? This describes whether there is a wire connecting the sensor to the Control Unit.
