Pressure sensitive pad – signals when pressure is lifted
Use when you want to be notified if someone gets out of bed. The Bed Pad sensor is best if the person tends to stand in an unpredictable place when they get up (like either side of the bed), thus making the Floor-pad sensor unsuitable.
Lays on bed under sheet or mattress pad. Best to run the wire down the foot of the bed where it won't be an annoyance and where it won't get tangled. Best under mattress pad (not under mattress) under torso (hips to chest area). Pad is 17" x 23".
Cleans easily with ordinary household cleaners. Waterproof.
(When you choose the Wireless Option, you get a Bed-pad sensor and a Wireless Module.)
Direct-wired and Wireless Sensors
What is the difference between a "wired" and "wireless" sensor? This describes whether there is a wire connecting the sensor to the Control Unit. Sensors use the optional Wireless Module to communicate with the Control Unit without wires. Click here for more information on how the system works. Note: To use a Wireless Sensor, your Control Unit must support wireless connection ("Wireless Sensor Capable TCU").
