Signals when a door is opened.
Two part magnetic switch senses when the two parts move apart.
When you want to know when someone has opened a closed door; for example, someone coming into a room, or someone leaving a room or building. Very reliable sensor to tell if a door, drawer, window, etc. is being opened.
If you want notification about traffic over a threshold where you want to be able to sometimes leave the door open, you’d be better off with a Floorpad at the threshold.
Two parts – the wired half mounts on the door jamb; the half without wires mounts on the door so they are next to eack other (any position) when the door is closed.. Can be attached with small screws (included) or sticky-tape.
Can be used on a window as well.
(When you choose the Wireless Option you get the Door Open Sensor and a Wireless Module.)
Direct-wired and Wireless Sensors
What is the difference between a "wired" and "wireless" sensor? This describes whether there is a wire connecting the sensor to the Control Unit. Sensors use the optional Wireless Module to communicate with the Control Unit without wires. Click here for more information on how the system works. Note: To use a Wireless Sensor, your Control Unit must support wireless connection ("Wireless Sensor Capable TCU").
